Sorry for the political ignorance, but you know you just can't stop the throat from making noises when you're not paying attention to yourself.
It'll say what it wants.
I guess I'll post the results if they're worthwhile when I'm home from work tonight.

I have a dream that one day, I'll have a room without carpets, where I can paint and sit on something other than my bed and have my easel set up. I won't sleep, eat, and paint all in the same spot.
YAY.
Also I need new brushes badly, who wants to get me some.
I have nothing interesting to say, I'm just killing time, waiting for paint to dry.

If I run into one more person from a local band that we used to play with and they ask me if I'm still playing shows and I have to say no, I'm going to stab my own face in.
Since The Epilogue broke up, I haven't played a real show myself and I'm losing my mind about it. Last show was in May of 2010. What the hell.
I figure if I say it in somewhat public that I've resolved to finally record my own record, instead of just saying it to myself every few weeks, I'll actually get off my ass and do it.
So if you are reading this, you are a witness, and if you haven't heard about a record being released by the end of this year, you have permission to hit me in the face if you see me.

The first is the lovely Jodi Tellier. She has a wicked style and one day I'm going to get her to show me how she draws both hair and flowers, cause it's ridiculous and I don't even get how she does it. Anyway, she's super good and has done work for bands and local events and all kinds of stuff, and you should buy paintings and drawings from her. She's so wonderful.

Then we have the awesome Kathy Roussel. Kathy's a photographer in Ottawa, and she's shot like a billion bands, both local and otherwise. She shot my old band one time and I just did a shoot with her for a portraity thing, and she's so awesome. She works a Mamiya like no other. Follow her blog and hit her up if your band needs press shots ever.

That is all. You're welcome.

Okay okay okayokayokayokaoykaokoakyokay so what is new. Um. I am in my second semester of arty school. It's going alright. Mostly I want to kill everyone while I'm there, but then I leave and come home and realize I had a fun day being forced to make stuff. It's kind of shitty because my painting teacher seems to only critique us on our work based on her likes, and not on how we're progressing within our own respective styles. I'm finding myself painting super messy and loosely, which I guess is a good thing because I need to loosen up and paint bigger anyway, but I just feel all super scattered in terms of my "artistic goals" and what I even like, aesthetically, anymore. Mostly I'm just so busy all the time that I don't have time to think about what kind of stuff I want to paint for myself, and not for class.
Oh well. There'll be time for that in the summer. You know, when I'll still be working 7 days a week. I really shouldn't complain.
These are paintings and sketchbookings from the last like four months I guess. Oh I'm gonna include stuff from the art show I had in the summer, which I never ended up posting about, but was fucking awesome and such a wonderful time.
These guys are both me.
This is a triptych. You can tell because of the three separate canvases. Yup. It's for this dude Mike from this band Today I Caught The Plague. Fuck my life they are good. See them if they're playing anywhere near you.
This was for class last semester. I don't like it. Stoked that they give us dead animals to paint though. Even if they're not real. Oh, now that I mention it, should anyone want to send me taxidermy, you know, if you just have some kicking around, I will gladly accept. Antlers of any sort count.
This was for class last semester too, and I can't quite remember what the assignment was, except that my teacher didn't like it.
Drarrin at wark.
Mrs Claus waitin up for Santa. Who is late.
Hai.
Apparently the word 'obey' is really overused in the art world. But I'm really out of step with anything modern so I don't care because I love Rosewood too much to erase it. Also I used like 6B or something. That shit's never coming off.
I don't know quite what's going on here but I would guess that the rabbit is an old beggar man rabbit who is about to steal some food or coin money from someone but this here guard dog's keeping watch.
THIS FUCKING THING IS TAKING FOREVER. I have to upload everything like two at a time because it can't handle my drawings. I hatechooooo blogspot.
Know that it's taking me like an hour to get this fucking entry posted.
Cobraish goose. Had some trouble with the neck tharr.
Okay there are more, but I can't take my steadily failing keyboard, tailbone and ability to not fetch the pizza popckets.
FAIR THEE WELL for now. I guess I'll be returning.
